Historical Timeline

Pax Romana
Brickfigurez invites you to journey back to 117 AD, the height of the Pax Romana (Roman Peace), an era when the Roman Empire reached its greatest territorial extent under Emperor Trajan. Stretching from the British Isles to the sands of Mesopotamia, the empire thrived as a beacon of culture, architecture, and innovation.
1274
Mongol invasion of Japan
In 1274 AD, the Mongol Empire, under Kublai Khan, launched its first invasion of Japan. This pivotal moment in history saw the might of the Mongol fleet clash with the fierce samurai warriors of Japan. Known as the Battle of Bun’ei, the invasion ended abruptly due to a legendary storm—referred to by the Japanese as the kamikaze or “divine wind”—that decimated the Mongol forces.
1591
Late Middle Ages
By 1591 AD, the “Dark Ages” had long given way to the Renaissance, but remnants of medieval life still influenced the world. This was a time of great exploration, scientific discovery, and powerful empires shaping the course of history. The late 16th century saw advancements in art, culture, and global trade, marking the early stirrings of the modern world.
1941
World War II
In 1941, the world stood at a turning point as World War II escalated to new heights. This was the year of the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union (Operation Barbarossa), the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, and the entry of the United States into the war. Across Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, nations were engulfed in conflict, bravery, and sacrifice that would shape the course of history.
1971
Vietnam War
During 1971, the Vietnam War continued to shape the world, a conflict marked by bravery, sacrifice, and turmoil. This year was pivotal, with widespread protests growing against the war back home while soldiers endured unimaginable challenges on the battlefield. Events like Operation Lam Son 719 demonstrated the complexities of warfare in Southeast Asia, as allied forces pushed against the North Vietnamese Army.
